We had an opportunity to showcase two advanced specialty lines with purple skin/yellow flesh at Madison’s 2022 Farm to Flavor Event. This annual event pairs plant breeders with chefs to showcase the culinary attributes of new varieties.
Pictured above is Rue Genger, a researcher engaged in participatory research for organic production of several crops, including potato. Both varieties received positive comments from the over 100 people who stopped by our table for tasting. Based on this feedback, we will continue preparing for the release of foundation seed and plan to choose names in the near future (if you have a suggestion, get in touch!)
